The Targa Tasmania
The iconic Targa Tasmania comes "home'' in 2013, with a particular focus on the roads and iconic stages of the Kentish municipality, which are favourites among spectators and competitors alike.
The rolling, windy roads of Kentish are the best racing roads in Tasmania, all against a spectacularly picturesque backdrop of Mount Roland, wilderness and a tapestry of agricultural crops. The exciting nature of the roads and the festive hospitality of the local communities has led Targa to focus on the district for much of the first half of the 2013 event. If you want to watch the international event this year, Kentish is the most spectacular place to see it: Leg 1 (April 18): Paloona, Nook, Sheffield and Chudleigh; Leg 3 (April 20): Cethana and Mole Creek; Leg 4 (April 21) Mt Roland.
