The accommodation venue is complimented by recreational facilities nestled just metres from the sea. Camp Banksia is made up of a number of different accommodation venues, indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, arts and meeting rooms. These include the following: Sassafras can sleep 38 people across six rooms of six beds and one room of two beds. Within the hub, there are two unisex bathrooms, each with two toilets and shower cubicles, and a fully accessible bathroom as well. A communal area links the walkways between rooms and bathrooms where campers can gather, make a hot drink (BYO), or play games.
Myrtle is identical to Sassafras and can sleep 38 people across six rooms of six beds and one room of two beds. Within the hub, there are two unisex bathrooms, each with two toilet and shower cubicles, there is the addition of a fully accessible bathroom as well. A communal area links the walkways between rooms and bathrooms where campers can gather, make a hot drink (BYO), or play games.
The Blackwood Cabins are five individual cabins from the 1960’s which can sleep six people in each cabin. A bathroom cluster is available with the hire of these cabins with three separate toilets and showers.
The Dining Hall is the perfect indoor venue for small to large events, with conjunction hire for camp users. Whether you are dining indoors, conducting activities or hosting a celebration, this large indoor space can seat 180 people and can be set up to suit your needs.
The Camp Kitchen is a newer facility offering exquisite facilities for the MasterChef of the camp, alternatively, this space can be used to encourage independence, explore team building or hold the ultimate cook-off.
The Banksia Centre sits within the campgrounds and compliments the camp facilities by offering alternative indoor recreation and meeting facilities. Take advantage of the full-sized indoor stadium with surfaces lined for basketball, netball, badminton, and volleyball. Across the hall, two smaller meeting rooms are available for a cosier indoor activity or open the concertina doors to enjoy a medium to large indoor carpeted space.
Towards the entry is the Rubicon Room, Banksia’s large multi-purpose room with facilities for free-throw basketball, two badminton courts, configurable stage blocks and an 8x5m projector screen for the ultimate movie night.
Nestled within a picturesque setting, just metres from the sand and sea at Freers Beach, surrounded by bush and nature. The campgrounds offer a large recreation grassed area, two outdoor tennis courts, a bike pump track, outdoor basketball and sporting courts, with access to the adventure public play space.
