Suicide Prevention Toolbox Talk Latrobe Memorial Hall Supper Room, James Street, Latrobe
A suicide in anyone’s world can be shattering. While there is some mental health support for people in that space, there remains a gap amongst their potential support network and, where there is an opportunity for awareness training in this space, it is hampered by the potential support person working full time and having lifestyle commitments on weekends.
To assist persons that would like to know more about why people suicide, the signs of someone contemplating suicide, what to say to such a person in this space and where to access support, Latrobe Council has engaged Rural Alive and Well (RAW) to present a Toolbox Talk the evening of Thursday, 9 September.
While Council acknowledge this is an in-depth topic, you must start somewhere. There is currently an unmet need amongst such a cohort and we hope that our residents take advantage of this opportunity.
Thursday 7PM - 10PM at Latrobe Memorial Hall Supper Room, James Street, Latrobe
Hours: Thursday, 9 September 2021 from 7:00pm until 10:00pm
