A Weekend Feast on Tasmania’s Tasting Trail
For one weekend only, Tasting Trail Tasmania brings you TrailGraze—an exclusive food and drink event celebrating the best of North and North West Tasmania.
TrailGraze takes you on a weekend beyond the farm-gate to meet the maker, taste, sip and discover some of the state’s most delicious produce, served up by the very people who call Tasmania’s food bowl home.
Take your pick from a line-up of o producers on a self-guided journey of cheese, chocolate, seafood, confectionery, wine, beer, spirits, cider and more.
The weekend-long celebration features exclusive on-site events, behind-the-scenes tours, and family-friendly activities in a true feast for the senses!
For more information, maps, participating producers and events, head to TrailGraze
The Devonport to Sheffield part of the trail is below.
- Make like the hipsters and enjoy complimentary tastings of filter coffee at Leaping Goat Coffee, who are opening especially to caffeinate TrailGraze-rs all weekend (7.30am-midday). The kids will get their own pick-me-up with the babycinos flowing, and a visiting crew of adorable mini goats!
- Or start the day more slowly with a Stretch & Sip session (Sunday) at House of Hargrave, taking you from yoga in the vines to mimosas over a breakfast bite. The cellar door is also open all weekend for tastings flights of their unique Schönburger varietals.
- Keep the mindfulness flowing with The Truffledore’s special Paint & Picnic offering. An invitation to totally unwind, the experience includes a gourmet truffle-themed picnic, canvas and paint for getting creative in the idyllic setting of the truffle orchard.
- A little further south, take a tour of Plump Berries’ idyllic patch, and enjoy a tasting of six different small-batch berry liqueurs.
- Save room for sweets at Spreyton Cider Co. – there’s free toffee apples all weekend, and an exclusive cooking demonstration will get you ready to bake the ultimate apple pie at home. Led by Spreyton’s pastry chef, the demo also includes a tour of the orchards, a cider or hot apple drink, and – of course – a slice of freshly-baked pie.
